Ray Kamerrer Pullman
Service for Ray Harlan Kamerrer, a longtime Pullman farmer, will be at 10 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pullman. Burial will follow at Pullman City Cemetery. Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kamerrer, who was born in Pullman, died Friday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle from complications of surgery for burns he received in a barn fire July 13 in Pullman. He was 81.
He graduated in 1937 from Pullman High School. He worked on the family farm.
When World War II started he went to work at the Boeing plant in Seattle until he was drafted in 1946. He served in the occupational forces in Japan until he was discharged in 1948.
Mr. Kamerrer returned to Pullman in 1949 to farm.
In 1958 he married Marian Swanson. They moved to Condon, Ore., where he and his brother, Clair, farmed until purchasing a farm near Moscow, Idaho. In 1966 he sold the Moscow farm to purchase the LaFollette estate near Pullman with another brother, Harold.
Mr. Kamerrer was a member of Ewartsville (Wash.) Grange, which he served for six years as subordinate master. He also served for six years as Pomona Grange master and state deputy, and for three years as special deputy. He served on the Grange Grain, Taxation and Historical Intercessions committees. Mr. Kamerrer also was a member of Moscow Elks Lodge, Washington Association of Wheat Growers, International Order of Odd Fellows and the Crop Improvement Association.
His wife died in 1991.
He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Kamerrer of Hermiston, Ore., and Clair Kamerrer of Condon.
Wilma (Symington) Taylor Spokane
Memorial service for Wilma E. (Symington) Taylor, 80, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Ritzville, Wash. Private graveside service will precede the service at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor, who was born in Selleck, Wash., died Saturday.
Her family moved to Seattle, where she helped with the family grocery business during her teens.
In 1938 she graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle and went to work at the Egyptian Theater in the University District.
She married Dale Taylor in 1941.
During World War II she worked for Boeing Aircraft Co.
In 1946 she and her husband took over the operations of the family farm near Ritzville. They farmed until 1980 when they moved to Spokane.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Ritzville and Ralston Grange.
Her husband died in 1992.
Survivors include three sons, Mark Taylor of Spokane, Steven Taylor of Ritzville and Gregory Taylor of Sandpoint; a brother, Dave Symington of Seattle; and seven grandchildren.

Gordon Bogart Spokane
Visitation for Gordon D. Bogart, 63, will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North, and from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Northview Bible Church. Service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Born in Almira, Wash., Mr. Bogart died Tuesday.
His family lived in Coulee City, Wash., for 16 years before moving to Reardan, Wash., in 1953.
He graduated in 1956 from Reardan High School and moved to Spokane in 1959.
From 1956 to 1974 Mr. Bogart worked as a service manager in the calculator repair department at Smith Corona, which later became Marchant. He worked in the inventory control department from 1974 to 1980 at R.A. Pearson. He retired in 1980.
He was a member of First Free Methodist Church.
His first wife Betty, died in 1990. They were married 31 years.
Survivors include his wife of nine years, Nadine; two sons, Gregory and Kevin Bogart, both of Spokane; two stepsons, Dean Logsdon of Spokane and Douglas Logsdon of Sultan, Wash.; three stepdaughters, Lois Winters and Sue Logsdon, both of Spokane, and Betty Ishii of Pendleton, Ore.; his parents, Maurice and Frances Bogart of Spokane; a brother, Dennis Bogart of Tumwater, Wash.; two sisters, Kim Bogart of Spokane and Kappie Bogart-Long of Denver; four grandchildren and 10 stepgrandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Free Methodist Church or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Spokane.
Lawrence `Punkin’ Seyler Desmet, Idaho
Rosary for Lawrence Bernard “Punkin” Seyler, 44, will be at 7 p.m. today at the Desmet Community Center. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Desmet. Burial will follow at the Desmet Cemetery. Kramer Funeral Home in Tekoa, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
A longtime Desmet resident, Mr. Seyler died Monday in Spokane from a possible heart attack. He was born in Spokane.
He married Dixie Saxon. They later divorced.
Mr. Seyler worked for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe cutting and thinning trees on the Coeur d’Alene Reservation.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Coeur d’Alene Tribe.
Survivors include four sons, Dustin and Dion Seyler, both of Desmet, and Daylon and Desmond Seyler, both of Plummer, Idaho; a daughter, Less Rose Seyler of Plummer; a stepson, Matthew Martinez of Oregon; a stepdaughter, Santana Martinez of Spokane; his mother, Lavinia Felsman of Desmet; three brothers, Moe Seyler of Spokane, and Richard and Dusty Seyler, both of Desmet; and four sisters, Gloria Williams and Charlene Hayse, both of Ford, Wash., and Jeanine Seyler and Bonita Felsman, both of Desmet.
George Bryan Palm Desert, Calif.
Private service for George L. Bryan, 99, will be held. Burial will be at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church Columbarium in Palm Desert. Palm Springs Mortuary in Cathedral City, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bryan, who was born in Spokane, died Saturday.
He married Ruby Black in 1925.
Mr. Bryan was a self-employed investment broker in Spokane for 45 years. He also worked as a salesman for Buchanan Chevrolet.
He and his wife moved to Palm Desert in 1967.
His wife died in 1972.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Garland of Palm Desert; a sister, Dorothy Garland of Boise; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Garry Heden Spokane
Visitation for Garry E. Heden, 60, will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Heritage Funeral Home. Service is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
A 32-year Spokane resident, Mr. Heden died Sunday. He was born in Sacramento, Calif.
In 1960 he married Carolyn Stinson.
He worked as a carpenter in the construction industry.
Mr. Heden was a member of the American Red Cross, the Spokane Valley Assembly of God Church and the Amateur Radio Association.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael and Mark Heden, both of Spokane; a daughter, Pamela Rockstead of Denver; two brothers, Cecil Heden of Hercules, Calif., and Don Heden of Houston; four sisters, Eileen Heden, Beulah Greer, Barbara Dennis and Mary Kaslak; and six grandchildren.
Steve Martinez Rockford
No service will be held for Steve D. Martinez, 76. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Martinez, a 40-year Spokane County resident, died Friday.
He served in the military during World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Martinez was a maintenance engineer at Sacred Heart Medical Center for 30 years.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1435, Disabled American Veterans and Rockford S.C.O.P.E.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; four daughters, four stepdaughters, four stepsons, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Spokane or Rockford S.C.O.P.E.
Bettie Kinney Spokane
Memorial service for Bettie L. Kinney, 68, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Wenatchee, Mrs. Kinney died Aug. 10.
She graduated in 1950 from Wenatchee High School.
In 1952 she married Richard Kinney. They moved to Spokane in 1959.
Mrs. Kinney was a homemaker and a member of Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church and the Alpha Zi Delta sorority.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry Kinney of Priest River, Idaho, and Les Kinney of Everett; a daughter, Linda Zeringer of Spokane; three sisters, Barbara Wagner of Moses Lake, Mary Schular of Kirkland, Wash., and Virginia Mesenburg of Tacoma; two brothers, Jim Lewis of Tacoma and Gordon Lewis of Pittsburgh; and four grandchildren.

Jessie Motz Post Falls
No service will be held for Jessie Evelyn Motz, 91. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Motz, who was born in Nebraska, died Sunday.
In 1928 she married W. Laurence Motz. They lived in Nebraska and later managed a mobile home park in Seattle. They retired to Startup, Wash., in 1972, and later lived in Mesa, Ariz. They moved to Sandpoint in 1997 and to Post Falls in 1998.
Her husband died earlier this year.
Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Sparr of Post Falls; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
John Boyd Jr. Newport, Wash.
Graveside inurnment with military honors for John Homer Boyd Jr., 60, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Newport Cemetery. Memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Newport City Park. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport is in charge of arrangements.
A 30-year Newport resident, Mr. Boyd died Friday. He was born in Pauls Valley, Okla.
He served in the Navy from 1957 to 1961.
Mr. Boyd worked as a roofer.
In 1986 he married Rose Lauzon.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Susie Clark of Newport, Deborah Boyd of Humboldt County, Calif., and Pamela Gross of Redding, Calif.; three sons, Bruce Lauzon of Newport, and Nick and Scott Boyd, both of Humboldt County; four sisters, Chris Boyd and Thelma Shoemaker, both of the Tri Cities, Kathy Moir of Seattle and Norma Jean Collins of Duncan, British Columbia; a brother, Cecil Boyd of Mica; and 14 grandchildren.
