Soccer Winners Come From All Over

Several Spokane Valley teams earned championships at last weekend’s Fall Roundup Soccer Tournament.

The 19th annual Fall Roundup, hosted by the River City Steelers Soccer Club, attracted 68 boys and girls teams from Montana, Idaho and Washington to the new Plantes Ferry Sports Complex in the Valley.

The SCC Falcons defeated the River City Steelers 4-3 to claim first place in the U-12 boys division.

Falcons team members include: Stefan Anderson, Nate Bitz, Cameron Bushey, Andy Fucile, Kon Geranios, Patrick O’Neil, Cameron Oriard, Zachary Winters, Dustin Aarestad, Tyler Clifton, Tim Redmon, Devin Merrill, Matt Schneidmiller, Morgan Deshazo, Chad Morton and Spencer Hodapp. The Falcons are coached by Mark Merrill and Stefan Anderson.

The River City Steelers beat the Sandpoint Strikers 4-3 to win the U-15 boys gold division.

Steelers team members include: Dion Trimble, Cody Kendall, Aaron Biel, Peter Stevenson, Chad Thornton, Sam Bachman, Colin Holbrook, Connor Fuhrman, Trevor Cross, Christopher Moe, Adam Clayden, Matthew McDonald, Jake Crowley, Brett Hite, Tyler Stoffel, Pirouz Ganji and Eric Burke. The Steelers are coached by Rich Dougan.

The Vision beat the Flames 3-2 to claim the U-16 girls title.

Vision team members included Catherine Skaggs, Elaine Chu, Lindsey Poole, Jennifer Hart, Dara Tisthammer, Kailin Henry, Chelsea Lehn, Carrie Henson, Loren Nay, Jennifer Jewett, Kathleen Blood, Lindsay Whitley, Shera Purcell, Kelsey Lincoln, Kendra Black, Kristin Miller and Laura Heath. The team is coached by Jim Hart.

Team members include: Allison Magney, Courtney Johnson, Allison Henderson, Jennie Summers, Bethany Wert, Kayla Constable, Mira Copeland, Chrissy Wohl, Megan Houck, Dana Brown, Casey Peterson, Jill Severson, Lara Whitley, Amy Solan, Adriane Kehl, Seanna Mullen, Sara York and Stacia King. The Steelers are coached by K.C. Constable.
