Post Falls Subdivision Hearing Postponed

From Staff

A local developer’s request to build a subdivision south of Post Falls has been postponed.

Mark Wiggins, developer of the proposed Equus Ridge on Blossom Mountain, failed to notify neighbors living within 300 feet of the area before the 15-day requirement. A public hearing on the project was scheduled for Wednesday.

Initially, Wiggins planned to develop 325 acres of the steep terrain into a 41-lot subdivision, surrounded by horse trails. Wiggins withdrew the equestrian theme, and reduced the density from 41 to 28 homes in June.

Another hearing will be scheduled for late October, said Sandy Meehan, Kootenai County associate planner.
