Mobile Cops Unit To Register Bicycles

Payless ShoeSource on North Division is hosting representatives from the Neva-Wood COPS Substation today.

The business, at 6502 North Division, will make a donation to the COPS shop. The Neva-Wood mobile unit and McGruff the Crime Dog will be there from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Nevada Lidgerwood neighborhood resource officer, Duane Willmschen, will give out stickers for children who visit.

Bike riders are encouraged to bring their bikes to the business and register them. Having a sticker on the bike and having its serial number in police computers will help with the return of bikes that are stolen and later recovered.
