Zanardi Returns To Cart

Alex Zanardi, two-time CART FedEx Series champion, will be returning to CART competition as a driver for Mo Nunn Racing in 2001, it was announced Wednesday.

Zanardi, who won championships in 1997 and 1998 driving for Team Target Chip Ganassi, left the CART series in 1998 to compete in Formula One.

He returns to team with Brazilian Tony Kanaan. In addition to manning a two-driver team, Mo Nunn Racing also said its cars will be powered by Honda.
