Man Dies From Gunshot Wound

Calvin Robert Jarrad, 27, turned himself in to Spokane police two hours after a man was killed early Sunday morning on North Monroe.

Officers found the victim, Bradley William Colby, 21, lying on the floor of a house at 6210 N. Monroe with a severe gunshot wound. The victim, who was shot at about 1:15 a.m., was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives interviewed a number of witnesses who were at the house when the shot was fired.

Jarrad turned himself in at about 3 a.m. Police continue to investigate the shooting.

Jarrad has 10 convictions as an adult, including reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and possession of stolen property, police said.
