Forest Products Essay Winners Announced

Local winners of the Idaho Forest Products Commission’s recent Forest Products Week Essay Contest have been announced. Along with a certificate, students received a $100 personal savings bond and $200 for their classrooms.

Top winners, their teachers and schools are listed.

First place winners

Janessa Kamps, grades 3-5 category, and teachers, Kay Hall, Kathy Cooper and Alice Page, all from Seltice Elementary School, Post Falls; Kinsy Hood, grades 9-12 category, and teacher Melody Melton, Coeur d’Alene High School.

Honorable mentions

Grades K-2, Jordan Chandler, Ramsey Elementary, Coeur d’Alene.

Grades 3-5: Samantha Hiatt, Valley View Elementary, Bonners Ferry; Jennifer Linna, John Brown Elementary, Rathdrum, Idaho; and Samantha Riley, Skyway Elementary, Coeur d’Alene.
