Man Shot At Apartment Complex

Spokane police are investigating a shooting Sunday about 5 p.m. near the corner of Pittsburg Street and Fairview Avenue.

Police found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound lying on the ground near a 1985 Chevy Blazer. He was taken to a hospital and police said he was listed in satisfactory condition Monday.

Police interviewed witnesses at an apartment in the 3000 block of North Pittsburg. Police said the victim and two friends had gone to the complex to visit a girl. Two other men showed up, and members of the first group decided to leave, police said.

As they were getting into their car, the two other men walked outside. One pulled a handgun and shot the victim and then fled, police said.

Police said they have the names of the suspects and an investigation is continuing.
