Alton’S Tires Seeks Rezone

Matt Alton has filed an application for a rezone to allow for the expansion of Alton’s Tires on 1821 N. Hamilton.

Alton’s request is asking to rezone 7100 square feet of vacant property west of the store from two-family residential to neighborhood business.

The neighborhood business designation would allow for a variety of retail and office uses including restaurants, florists, gas stations and parking lots.

The application is scheduled to go before the city hearing examiner Jan. 9 at 9 a.m.
