Shotgun-Wielding Man Steals Pickup

From Staff

A carjacking was reported in the Spokane Valley about 5:10 p.m. Saturday.

The male victim told sheriff’s deputies that a man armed with a shotgun stole his Dodge Ram pickup from the 16800 block of East Sprague.

He described the man as a thin white male in his 20s, 5-foot-9, and wearing a dark-colored coat and possibly blue jeans, according to the sheriff’s office. He said the weapon was a sawed-off, pump-action shotgun, possibly a 12-gauge.

The stolen truck was described as a green 1995 Dodge standard-cab diesel with Washington license plates. The truck has a dented front bumper and a diamond-plated tool box across the bed.

No one was injured in the incident, and deputies were still looking for the truck Saturday evening.
