Heather Cathlyn Ashby exchanged wedding vows with James Albert Boudewyns in an Aug. 12 ceremony at Alki Congregational United Church of Christ in Seattle.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Tanya Ashby, Renton, Wash. Lester Boudewyns and Susan Boudewyns, both of Spokane, are parents of the groom.

A reception at the Rainier Golf and Country Club in Seattle followed the ceremony. The couple are living in Renton after a honeymoon in the Bahamas.

A graduate of Washington State University, the bride is a third-grade teacher in Covington, Wash. The groom is also a graduate of WSU and is a programmer and analyst at PACCAR.
