The marriage of Melissa K. Simonson to Erik W. Young was solemnized in a July 1 ceremony at Spokane Valley United Methodist Church.

Frank and Noreen Simonson, Spokane, are parents of the bride. Young is the son of Micheal and Susie Young, Spokane.

A reception was at the Masonic Temple. The couple are living in Spokane after a honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii.

The bride graduated from University High School and is a certified nurse’s assistant at Parkplace Retirement Center. A graduate of Mead High School, the groom is a manager in the G&B department in the WestCoast Grand Hotel.
