Triplett Powers Sasquatch To Victory

Rebecca Triplett scored a game-high 23 points and snagged a game-high 11 rebounds Thursday to spark the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch over Grossmont 93-54 at the Grossmont Holiday Classic women’s basketball tournament in San Diego.

Triplett hit 11 of 17 shots from the floor. She also had four assists. Daniela Schroeder tallied 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds for CCS (7-4).

Nina Bade paced the Griffins (7-6) with 20 points and six rebounds.

Curt Dale hit six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 25 points to lead the visiting College of The Cariboo Sun Demons of Kamloops, British Columbia, to their win over the Sasquatch.

Demetrius Scott paced the Sasquatch (7-5) with 19 points. Kellen Biggar added 14 points and a team-high seven rebounds.

CCS played without leading scorer Andre Ervin, who is academically ineligible.
