Rev. Paul Winslow, pastor of Valley Bible Church, 3021 S. Sullivan, Veradale. Background: Winslow, 65, has been at Valley Bible for the past 10 years. His previous posting, which lasted 20 years, was at Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, Calif.

An engineer by training, Winslow ran a management consultant business. He also taught men’s and couple’s classes at his church. Thirty years ago his church in Palo Alto asked him to become a teacher full time on the basis of his “spiritual gifts.” That began his three decades of work in the ministry.

Personal: Winslow and his wife, Karen, have been married for 38 years. They have three grown children, all living in California, and six grandchildren. Karen works at the church leading various women’s study groups.

Quote: “This year at Christmastime I am very thankful for the many blessings God has given me and those I know. I am especially thankful for His gift of the Savior whose birthday we are celebrating.”
