Braves Can’T Catch Bruins

Joel Voyetchko scored twice and the Grand Forks Border Bruins took advantage of a quick start to edge the Spokane Braves 4-3 in Saturday’s Kootenay International Junior Hockey League play.

The Braves couldn’t quite catch Grand Forks after a 2-0 first period. Jason Beeman had three assists and Billy Martin scored twice for Spokane.

Grand Forks (8-26-1-1) is the last-place team in the Neil Murdoch Division. Spokane is 16-20-3-1.
