Open Houses On Road Projects
Spokane County engineers are holding two open houses this week to gather public input on transportation projects.
A plan to improve an 8.5-mile stretch of Bigelow Gulch Road will be the topic of a meeting Wednesday. The open house will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bigelow Gulch Central Grange, 7001 E. Bigelow Gulch Road.
Engineers hope to expand the road to four lanes in an effort to improve traffic safety and alleviate congestion between the Spokane city limits and Forker Road.
The second open house is being held to discuss general traffic concerns in the Interstate 90-Sprague Avenue corridor of the Valley.
That meeting is scheduled for Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the large cafeteria at University High School, 10212 E. Ninth Ave.
Plans and environmental analyses of both projects will be available for review.
