Garden Botanika Outlines Recovery
Garden Botanika, the Redmond, Wash.-based cosmetics and personal care product company, announced Wednesday it has submitted its business plan for the upcoming year as part of the conditions imposed for continued operations under Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Part of that plan includes closing 38 stores. The NorthTown store in Spokane would be one of 109 remaining open.
The company also announced that Arlee Jensen will resign as president and CEO, to be succeeded by Bill Lawrence, chief operating and financial officer.
For the 52-week period ending Jan. 29, 2000, the company’s sales had decreased to $69.7 million, compared with the prior 52-week period total of $102.8 million.
