Two Children Found At Suspected Meth Lab

Two children were placed in protective custody Friday after they were found in a home with a suspected methamphetamine lab.

The discovery came Friday morning when Shoshone County investigators raided two Wallace homes, finding suspected meth labs in both.

At about 10:30 a.m., officers searched a house at 1137 Polaris Avenue in Osburn and later a house at 55 River St. in Wallace.

In the Osburn home, officers arrested Richard Brown, 34, and Ronald Brown Jr., 32, on the charge of manufacturing meth. Chemicals and other items commonly used in the making of the drug were seized.

In the Wallace home, officers arrested Wayne Gravelle, 32, and Shelly Tucker, 28, on charges of manufacturing meth and felony injury to a child.

Two children were taken from the Wallace home, checked out at Shoshone Medical Center and placed in the custody of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Members of the Shoshone County Special Investigations Unit and Idaho State Police detectives made the discoveries and arrests, Shoshone County sheriff’s Lt. Mike Gunderson said.
