Summary: NIC’s men (14-9 overall, 4-7 Scenic West) can take a big step toward securing a berth in the Region 18 Tournament by defeating the third-place Wolverines (17-7, 8-4). A victory would move NIC three games in front of ninth-place Treasure Valley with six to play.

NIC is coming off an emotional overtime setback to first-place Salt Lake on Thursday. “We’ve got to get the kids back up,” coach Hugh Watson said.

NIC’s women (15-8, 6-5) have won three straight SWAC games and are moving up in the standings. Utah Valley (18-5, 9-3) was tied for first until falling to Ricks on Thursday.
