Inchelium Takes Down St. George’S

Boys

The Panorama League tour- nament is 1 for 1 for surprises.

Chris Burch scored 22 points and David Tonasket hit two 3-pointers in the second quarter Tuesday night, leading visiting Inchelium to a 59-48 win at St. George’s in the tournament’s first game.

St. George’s, the No. 2 seed from the South Division, defeated the North No. 3 Hornets 54-36 during the regular season.

The other Panorama tournament openers are tonight. Inchelium will play tonight’s Curlew/St. Michael’s winner on Saturday for the berth to district. St. George’s will play a loser-out game Saturday vs. the Curlew/St. Michael’s loser.

Justin Shamion, Kenny Stone and Cory Boone combined for 44 points as the Cougars defeated the Rams to increase their first-place lead to 1 games over idle Deer Park.

Bryce Meserve added six rebounds and Jess Trampush four steals for Chewelah.

The visiting Broncos used a 35-22 rebounding edge to defeat the Gorillas and remain tied with Wilbur-Creston for second place.

Ritzville will play at Wilbur on Friday night to determine second place and an automatic berth to district.

Davenport’s Alan Curtis pulled down 12 rebounds.
