Highway district officials have eliminated midday travel times on Cape Horn Road, because they need more time to work on the road - which was damaged by a rock slide last week - during the day, according to county disaster services officials.

The road will be open for travel from 6 to 7 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. On Sunday, the road will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Timberlake Fire District personnel will be stationed with a fireboat at the docks in case of emergency.
