Area Residents Complete Basic Training
Five North Idaho Air Force airmen recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Jarae J. Raynor is a 1999 Sandpoint High School graduate and daughter of Radd and Laurie Raynor of Sandpoint. Derrick R. Solomon is a 1999 Timberlake High School graduate, and is the son of Nancy and Gregory Gresham of Rathdrum. Brian S. Leyh is a 1999 Post Falls High School graduate and is the son of John and Barbara Leyh of Post Falls. Joshua J. Miller is a 1999 Post Falls High School graduate and son of Joel and Deborah Miller. And Ivon L. Johnson is the son of Kevin and Gayla Johnson of Moscow.
Gregory A. Roby, son of Sharron Steward of Coeur d’Alene, has joined the Army as an aircraft/armament/missile systems repairer.
He attended North Idaho College.
Jared L. Vlasaty, son of Franklin and Carol Vlasaty of Post Falls, has enlisted in the Army as a petroleum supply specialist and has arrived for basic military and advanced individual training at Fort Jackson, S.C.
Vlasaty attended Post Falls High School. He will be stationed at Fort Eustis, Va., upon completion of training.
Dustin M. Bergerson, son of Loran Bergerson and Theresa Bergerson, both of Post Falls, has enlisted in the Army’s Delayed Entry Program as a mental health specialist.
Bergerson recently departed for advanced individual training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He is a 1999 graduate of Lakeland High School in Rathdrum.
Brandon L. Mattern, son of Dan and Donita Mattern of Rathdrum, has enlisted in the Army as a combat engineer.
Mattern is a 1999 graduate of Lakeland High School and recently departed to be stationed in Europe.
