Bourdette Everson Moscow, Idaho

Graveside service for Bourdette R. Everson, 81, will be March 25 at 2 p.m. at the Moscow Cemetery. Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Everson, who was born in Jerome, Idaho, died Sunday.

He graduated from high school in southern Idaho and then attended Ricks Junior College in Rexburg, Idaho, for two years before serving with the Army Air Corps as an airplane mechanic’s instructor while stationed at Mather Air Field in California during World War II.

Mr. Everson was honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1944. He moved to Moscow and attended the University of Idaho.

In 1949 he married Helen Suddreth. He worked at various local jobs, including a management position at Fonk’s Variety Store in Moscow and as a driver for a beer distributor.

Mr. Everson later worked as a teller at Idaho First National Bank and eventually became bank president at the Potlatch, Idaho, branch before taking a position with the University of Idaho student loan department.

He retired from UI in 1981 after 19 years. He was a member of the Moscow Moose and Elks lodges, the Vandal Boosters, and the Moscow Second Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ren Everson, and a daughter, Ann Marie Everson, both of Moscow; two brothers, Richard Everson of Jerome and Charlie Everson of California; and a sister, Maxine Gifford of Meridian, Idaho.

Sister George Andrew, S.P. Spokane

Vigil service for Sister George Andrew, S.P., 79, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Mount St. Joseph. Funeral Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Mount St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in St-.Patrice-de-Tingwick, Quebec, Sister Andrew died Monday.

She entered the novitiate of the Sisters of Providence in Montreal in 1942. She professed her first vows in 1943 and her final vows in 1946.

Sister Andrew became an American citizen in 1956.

She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Holy Family Hospital in St. Ignatius, Mont., and Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, Mont.

Sister Andrew began working at Mount St. Joseph in Spokane in 1958. She was the aide to the directress of studies and provincial administration from 1958 to 1974, and then was the assistant administrate and director of housekeeping from 1974 to 1987. She worked in housekeeping and hospitality from 1987 to 1991 and was then the supervisor of housekeeping from 1991 until earlier this year.

Survivors include five sisters, Marie Ann Proulx of Asbestos, Quebec, Mrs. Real Hamel of St.-Patrice-de-Tingwick, Mrs. Conrad Houle of Victoriaville, Quebec, Maria Proulx and Marie Rose Delisle; and two brothers, Andrew Proulx of Waltham, Quebec and Etienne Proulx of Princeville, Quebec.

Dorothy Farrell Post Falls

Visitation for Dorothy Elizabeth Farrell, 73, will be today from 5 to 8 p.m., with rosary at 7 p.m., at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene Funeral Mass is planned for Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Church in Rathdrum with a reception to follow at the church hall.

Mrs. Farrell, who was born in Gary, Ind., died Monday.

She grew up in Rockford, Ill., and in 1950 married Thomas Farrell. They moved to the Los Angeles area.

She had worked for a police department in the Los Angeles area and then became a homemaker.

Her husband died in 1966 and she moved to the Post Falls area in 1977. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Farrell II of Dalton Gardens, Idaho; two daughters, Elizabeth Franz of Post Falls and Jenepher Vang of Minot, N.D.; and eight grandchildren.

Robert Guilbault Chewelah, Wash.

Funeral Mass for Robert N. Guilbault, 74, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Chewelah. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Guilbault, who was born in Helena, died Sunday.

He moved to Spokane in 1942 and graduated from Kinman Business College.

Mr. Guilbault was an insurance agent for State Farm Insurance. He had previously worked in the sales department of Carnation Co. and Crown-Zellerbach.

He moved to Chewelah two years ago.

Mr. Guilbault was a member of the Elks Lodge, the American Legion and the Chewelah Golf and Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, Louise; two sons, Robert and Michael Guilbault, and a daughter, Charlene Bergstrom, all of Spokane; two stepdaughters, Brenda Paulsen of Athol, Idaho, and Teresa Sanders of Coeur d’Alene; and 12 grandchildren.

Frank Dober Colfax, Wash.

Service for Frank Joseph Dober, 78, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will follow at Colfax Cemetery.

A lifetime Colfax-Pullman area resident, Mr. Dober died Tuesday. He was born in Colfax.

In 1945 he married Lucille Herman.

Mr. Dober had farmed in the Shawnee-Albion, Wash., area since 1953.

He was a member of the Colfax Eagles Lodge, the Parvin Grange, the Pullman Grange, the Albion Historical Society, National Rifle Association, and the Lewiston, Endicott (Wash.) and Colton (Wash.) Gun clubs.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Diana Michael of Newman Lake, Wash., Francine Dober of Loon Lake, Wash., and Yvonne Aase of Walla Walla; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Sally Bourne Coeur d’Alene

No service will be held for Sally I. Bourne, 82, at her request. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bourne, who was born in Chippewa Falls, Wis., died Monday.

She moved to Coeur d’Alene when she was an infant and attended area schools. She later operated restaurants in Wallace and Huetter, Idaho.

Mrs. Bourne also had worked at Clare-Pendar and the Ohio Match lumber mill, and was a waitress, bartender and cook for the Coeur d’Alene and Spokane Elks lodges.

Her husband, Raymond Bourne, died in 1983.

Survivors include two sons, James and Richard Rose, both of Spokane; two sisters, Marie Lowe of Spokane and Loretta Hamblin of Stockton, Calif.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Roy Stein Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Roy Wilfred Stein, 86, will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Legends Park Assisted Living in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stein, who was born in LaGrande, Ore., died Tuesday.

He grew up in Eastern Oregon and received a bachelor of science and master’s degree from Oregon State University. In 1938 he married Elizabeth Stacy.

Mr. Stein worked in the Oregon dairy industry and also taught dairy and food technology at Oregon State University from 1952 until 1964. He had spent five years in Brazil with the U.S. A.I.D. Project through Purdue University.

He retired from the Tillamook Cheese Factory at the age of 72 and moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1988.

Mr. Stein had served as past secretary of the Oregon Dairy Industry Association and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 1999.

He was a member of the Corvallis, Ore., Kiwanis and was involved in photography, gardening and animal husbandry.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lanny Stein of Coeur d’Alene and Dave Stein of Renton, Wash.; a daughter, Jean Quinn of Abbotsford, British Columbia; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
