Power Knocked Out
An inattentive driver hit a power pole Monday afternoon, knocking out power to some Otis Orchards residents.
A green Chevrolet Blazer, traveling between 20 and 30 miles per hour, knocked down a power pole at the corner of Rowan and McKinzie at 4:30 p.m. Monday, leaving 50 people without power for approximately an hour.
A 17-year-old boy, who was alone in the vehicle, was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
No one was injured. It is not known whether the driver was wearing a seat belt.
