Area boys
Cheney’s drive to the Border League title hit the skids Friday night in Colville.
Marc Mostek scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half, and Jeff Banich hit 4 of 4 free throws down the stretch as Colville defeated Cheney 61-56 to hand the league title to West Valley.

Instead, the District 7 3A Tournament begins Friday at Mt. Spokane High with an 8 p.m., loser-out game between Colville and Cheney.
