Memorial Today For UI Rugby Coach

Sat., Feb. 12, 2000

A memorial service for the University of Idaho rugby coach who died in Alaska Airline Flight 261 is today.

Bradford “Pat” Ryan died in the crash with his parents, brother and friends.

A recent Washington State University graduate in civil engineering, Ryan was also a member of the ski patrol and coached rugby at the UI, where his team is raising money to honor Ryan with patches for their jerseys.

Today’s service will be at Saint Jude’s Parish in Redmond, Wash.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pat Ryan Scholarship Fund at Washington Mutual Bank.
