Auditions Scheduled For ‘Prince,’ ‘Alice’

Auditions for Theatre Arts for Children’s “The Prince That Wouldn’t Talk,” directed by Nancy Huck, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. Feb. 20 at the theater in University City Mall.

Children 10 and older are needed. For more information call the theater at 892-5413.

Actors 8 years old through adult are encouraged to audition for the Spokane Children’s Theatre production of “Alice in Wonderland,” at noon Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Aloysius School, 611 E. Mission.

There are character roles for men and women and older teenagers. Performance dates are April 8-30. Call 328-4886 for more information.

Artists invited

The Spokane Area Women’s Leadership Conference invited local artists Edie Dunlap, Kay O’Rourke and Ildiko Kalapacs to display their work in the New Lair Addition of the Spokane Community College from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday.

The conference theme is “Women Recreating Leadership.”

Classes

Adult classes at Corbin Art Center, 507 W. Seventh, for the week beginning Feb. 21 include “Candlemaking I Workshop,” “French Country Swag Workshop,” “Crewel Embroidery,” “Learning to Paint Light,” “Hand-Coloring Black-and-White Prints,” “Basic Fimo Beads Workshop,” and “Spring Silk Arrangement.”

Spokane Art School is sponsoring “Basic Paper Making Workshop Using Wetland Plants” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, and Feb. 23, at the school, 920 N. Howard.
