The following people have joined LeMaster & Daniels PLLC, certified public accountants and business advisors:
Kim Gill was hired as a manager in the firm’s tax department. Her responsibilities include tax planning and consulting, tax research and teaching tax seminars. Gill, who is a certified public accountant, earned a bachelor of administration and a master of accounting from Gonzaga University and is completing a master of tax at Golden Gate University. She was formerly with Moss Adams in Seattle.
Sean Black, also a CPA, is a manager in the management advisory services group, specializing in litigation and business valuation services. He was previously a manager in the strategy, finance and economics group with Arthur Anderson LLP in Los Angeles. Black earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from Claremont McKenna College. He is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research and a Level III candidate for chartered financial analyst.
Wanda Todd joined LeMaster & Daniels as a human resource specialist and recruiter. She received a bachelor’s degree from Ambassador University and formerly worked for Egghead.
Tom Robinson has joined the certified public accounting firm of Bruce B. Butler & Associates P.S. The firm’s name has been changed to Butler, Robinson & Associates P.S. Robinson was previously a tax manager with another accounting firm in Spokane.
Quality Resource & Services Inc. has hired Gary W. Foster as manager of resource and staffing. He will help provide resource and staffing personnel to the company’s present clients and work on developing new territories and customers. Foster has 15 years of experience in the electrical and management construction field. He attended Washington State University and previously served as administrator of a Spokane construction company and managed his own electrical construction firm. He has worked with QRS for five years as an outside consultant.
Peter Williams has been named associate dean of students at Gonzaga University. Williams will serve as a student affairs generalist with supervisory responsibility for student activities, student government, the outdoor recreation and orientation programs and clubs/organizations. Williams previously was director of student activities and an adjunct faculty member in environmental studies at Whitman College in Walla Walla. He has a bachelor’s degree in geology and environmental studies from the University of Vermont and a master’s degree in environmental science from Washington State University.
MOVING UP:
The following employees of Yoke’s Washington Foods Inc. have been promoted:
Denny York was named senior vice president of marketing, perimeter operations and store development. He joined Yoke’s in 1990 after working for Tidyman’s Inc. and Alvin J. Wolff Real Estate Co. York, whose father owned grocery stores in Yakima, was voted Yoke’s Store Manager of the Year in 1992 and 1995.
Penny Gillmore was promoted to bakery manager at Yoke’s Spokane Valley store. She joined the company in 1997 as an apprentice baker and decorator. Gillmore previously worked as the head baker for Old Country Buffet in Spokane.
Tidyman’s LLC has promoted the following employees:
Tracy Turnbull has been named director of Tidyman’s Post Falls store. Turnbull joined Tidyman’s in 1981 and has held various positions, including director at both Spokane Cedars and Lyons stores. Most recently, Turnbull was director of the firm’s Coeur d’Alene store.
Pat Dahmen was promoted to Coeur d’Alene store director. He has been the director of the Spokane Argonne Tidyman’s since 1997. Dahmen joined Tidyman’s in 1984 and has held several positions, including being the assistant director at the Coeur d’Alene store.
Erika Sams was named director of Tidyman’s Argonne store. She began her career with Tidyman’s in 1989 and has held several positions. She recently completed the company’s management and development program.

Sandra Hope of Otis Orchards and Robyn Kokot of Spokane scored near the top of 1,807 candidates who took the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Examination in Washington state last November. Hope tied for sixth place, while Kokot finished ninth in the standings.
