Colfax Rolls Into District Title Round

Becky VanTine led three players in double figures with 15 points Saturday night, and Colfax defeated Kettle Falls 53-34 in the District 7 1A tournament winner-to-region game at Mead High.
Colfax advanced to the district championship round, which begins Friday. Colfax has qualified for the region tournament against the Caribou Trail League. The Bulldogs need just one more district win to also qualify for a return trip to the state tournament.
Heather Lebret had two 3-pointers for KF. The Bulldogs play Freeman on Tuesday night for a regional berth. The loser will be eliminated.

At Endicott, Danielle Ayers-Stamper scored eight of her 19 points in the second quarter, boosting the Tigercats over the Eagles and into the title game.
Seniors Rochelle Schneider of L-W and Breanna Schmick of SJE both surpassed 800 career points. Schmick also had 11 rebounds.
L-W will play top-seeded Garfield-Palouse (17-2) Monday night for the 1-2 seeds to the District 9 B tournament. SJE will play Asotin on Monday for the 3-4 seeds.

Lindsay Krupke and Kim Rinker scored all the points during a 9-0 run to start the third quarter, and the Indians defeated the Warriors at Creston to earn the sixth and final seed to the league tournament.
ACH missed two 3-point attempts in the final 22 seconds. Callie Clark of ACH had nine rebounds, one more than Reardan’s Kristi Plummer.
Reardan will open the tournament Monday night at home against No. 3 Davenport (13-7). The other opener at Reardan is No. 4 Wilbur-Creston (12-7) vs. No. 5 Ritzville (8-12).
