Social Security Plans E-Newsletter

Social Security recipients can keep up with the latest changes in benefits and rules through a new electronic newsletter the government will offer starting March 1.

E-mail subscribers will be able to customize information they receive in the free monthly updates from the Social Security Administration.

A retiree might choose to get news about benefits, including announcements of Social Security’s annual cost-of-living raises, for example.

Those interested can subscribe at the Social Security Administration’s Internet site starting Tuesday. An e-mail address is all that is required.

The Internet address is http://www.ssa.gov/enews.
