Gonzaga Honored By Peace Corps
Gonzaga University’s mission to serve others was recently exemplified by two national rankings.
The private Jesuit school has been ranked No. 9 by the U.S. Peace Corps on its list of small universities and colleges that have the most graduates currently serving as volunteers.
Fifteen Gonzaga alumni currently serve as Peace Corps volunteers in developing nations throughout the world.
Additionally, Gonzaga’s School of Law has been named as one of 20 law schools in the country offering the best in public interest legal education.
The National Jurist, the self-described “Magazine for Law Students,” included Gonzaga in the top 20 list published in the magazine’s January/February issue.
Gonzaga was singled out for setting an example of service by requiring pro bono work of its students and faculty.
Gonzaga has about 4,500 students.
