New Starbucks Store Opens On Sullivan
No matter how you take your caffeine, a new Starbucks opening in the Valley should have you covered.
Starbucks’ new Valley store will open Friday in the Sullivan Center, 506 N. Sullivan Road. The coffee store joins two other businesses that recently opened at the new $2 million retail center.
The Starbucks store will have long hours, comfy seating and soft lighting.
“It’s a beautiful store,” said store manager Margie Rubel. “It just beckons for people to come in and sit.”
For those with no time to sit, the store will also have a drive-through.
Starbucks, a Seattle-based coffee chain, has three other stores in the Valley. The Sullivan store will be the second Spokane-area store with a drive-through.
The 1,672-square-feet Starbucks store will initially employ 13 people.
Starbucks will host a pre-opening benefit for the Spokane Valley Center Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m.
The center will also get daily pastry mark-outs from the store, Rubel said.
Store hours will be 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m. on Friday; 6 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturday, and 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday.
On Monday, Wiser Wireless, formerly at 13515 E. Sprague, moved into Sullivan Center.
Owner Perry Wiser said he’s signed a five-year lease on the 1,312-square-foot store.
He decided to move because he needed more space and because Sullivan has “built-in car traffic.”
“Sullivan is just the spot,” Wiser said.
There will be two full-time employees at the store.
Exercise Equipment Center Fitness Superstore opened in Sullivan Center at the end of January.
The Seattle-based specialty fitness shop sells high-end exercise equipment and accessories.
The Sullivan Center, managed by Tomlinson Black, has 6,148 square feet of vacant retail space that could hold up to four additional tenants, said property manager David Wright.
