Last year: Colby (Kansas) College rolled to the title with 129 points. NIC, behind individual champions Curtis Owen and Shaun Williams, placed second at 88.5 points. NIC’s only returning placer is St. Maries High grad Ry Stone, who was second at 184.

NIC lineup (records minus Las Vegas Tournament): Nathan DeLeon, 125 pounds, 20-9; Derek Keaveney, 133, 14-6; Ravil Mukhamediyev, 141, 14-11; Andy Roberts, 149, 6-10; Trevor Floerchinger, 157, 12-3; Travis Liermann, 165, 20-8; Kelly Krepps, 174, 5-10; Ry Stone, 184, 25-7; David Sandberg, 197, 25-5; Alain Djoumessi, 285, 16-5.

Team favorites: Neosho, Ricks, Iowa Central, Lassen, North Idaho. In order, those were the top five in the final NJCAA poll.
