Greenridge Gets Hookup Ok

A connection to the Liberty Lake water system will help Greenridge neighbors protect their homes in case of a large fire.

Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District manager Lee Mellish said the neighborhood asked for the connection to provide a greater volume of water in an emergency. The 38 homes in Greenridge, a subdivision in the mountainous area east of Liberty Lake, are served by wells.

“They do not want this for any other purposes than a fire emergency,” said Mellish.

Sewer and water district commissioners approved the contract this week. The Greenridge neighborhood will pay for the connection.
