Anita Brand Coeur d’Alene
Visitation for Anita Marie Brand, 42, will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene First Assembly of God Church with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. A potluck fellowship will follow the service at the First Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Brand, who was born in Fort George G. Meade, Md., died Tuesday.
She grew up in Southern California and attended Catholic grade school. She graduated from high school in Torrance, Calif., in 1975.
Mrs. Brand lived in Germany for one year. She returned to California and attended Golden West Community College and then moved to Chicago.
She married Paul Brand in 1982 and served as a private school teacher as part of the Jesus People USA Ministry in inner city Chicago.
The couple moved to Minot, N.D., and returned to California, where she was a homeschool teacher and homemaker.
She was involved in the children’s ministries of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in California and had been a Sunday school teacher before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1995. She was diagnosed with cancer later that same year.
Mrs. Brand continued to work as a home school teacher and was also a musician. She was involved in interpretive modern worship dance and folk dancing.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Krista, Nathan, Joshua and Andrew; her father, Josef Stein; a brother, Joseph Stein; and three sisters, Helen Vollero, Janet Jordan and Christina Stein.

Ellida Skjothaug Spokane
Graveside service for Ellida Skjothaug, 85, will be at 10 a.m. today at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Skjothaug, who was born in Fairview, Mont., died Thursday.
She moved to Spokane in 1944.
Mrs. Skjothaug was a homemaker and was a member of Glad Tidings Church.
Her husband of 47 years, Harold, died in 1978.
Survivors include five sons, Ralph, Kenneth, Art, Dwane and Donald Skjothaug, all of Spokane; three daughters, Donna Sprague of Spokane, Helen Rosen of Seattle and Janet Kongsala of Moore, Okla.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Merten Cram Sandpoint
Memorial service for Merten Eldred Cram, 94, will be held in May. Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cram, who was born in Useless Bay, Whidbey Island, Wash., died Tuesday.
He attended schools in Everett and graduated from high school there in 1924. He moved to Oakland, Calif., and married Ollie Mae Codori in 1929.
The couple moved to Whidbey Island, where he worked on his uncle’s dairy farm until moving to San Bernardino, Calif., in 1933.
Mr. Cram worked as an electrician in California until he joined the Navy in 1942. He served in San Diego and Bayview, Idaho, before being transferred to sea aboard the L.S.T. 606.
He returned to California in 1946 after his military discharge and continued to work as an electrician before retiring in 1971.
The couple moved to the Sandpoint area in 1975.
Mr. Cram was a member of the Coeur d’Alene American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Spirit Lake, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Featherstone of Spirit Lake; a grandson, James; and numerous other relatives.
Rodney Christensen Coeur d’Alene
Service for Rodney Dean “Rod” Christensen, 52, will be at 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Priest River, Idaho. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Twin Falls, Idaho, Mr. Christensen died Wednesday.
He received bachelor’s degrees in music and psychology from San Jose State University and a master’s degree in music composition from the University of Idaho.
Mr. Christensen taught music in the Bonner County School District.
He married Terry Jenkins in 1999.
Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Colin Jenkins of Coeur d’Alene and Kevin Jenkins of Seattle; a stepdaughter, Suzanne Jenkins of Coeur d’Alene; his mother, LaDean Christensen of Hayward, Calif.; a brother, Rick Christensen of Orange, Calif.; and two sisters, Connie Young of Mesa, Ariz., and Karen Crane of Castro Valley, Calif.

Rollin `Woody’ Woodworth Spokane
Service for Rollin F. “Woody” Woodworth, 92, will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Beacon Bible Church. Burial was held before the service at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
A 57-year Spokane resident, Mr. Woodworth died Wednesday. He was born in Farmington, Minn.
He worked as a switchman for Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years. He retired in 1973. Mr. Woodworth also worked in the orchards at Green Bluff from 1950 to 1998.
He was a member of the Beacon Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Amie; three sons, Tom Woodworth of Rathdrum, Idaho, James Woodworth of Kirkland, Wash., and Roger Woodworth of Muleshoe, Texas; a daughter, Ruby Hogan of Spokane; 29 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

George `Bud’ Haines Dalton Gardens, Idaho
Visitation for George Edwin “Bud” Haines, 82, will be Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. Service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the chapel. A reception will follow at the Hayden Chapel Gathering Center. Burial will take place at a later date at Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, Calif.
Mr. Haines, who was born in Oakdale, Neb., died Monday.
He grew up in Nebraska and later moved to Arcadia, Calif. He graduated from high school there, and served with the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Haines married Laura Jensen in 1944 and later retired from the Navy as a lieutenant commander. He worked for the civil service at Farragut Naval Facility in Bayview, Idaho, until his retirement in 1974.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura, in 1995. He married Gladys Hedlund in 1996.
Mr. Haines was a member of Coeur d’Alene First Presbyterian Church and served as the secretary of his bowling league for 25 years. He bowled his first 300 game at the age of 75.

Ruth Carnahan Spokane
Visitation for Ruth A. Carnahan, 86, will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
Born in Coeur d’Alene, Mrs. Carnahan died Monday.
A 20-year Spokane resident, she was a homemaker.
Her husband, Charles, preceded her in death.
There are no surviving family members.
