Suspect Arrested After Holdup Threat
While trying to rob a Chevron convenience store on Sunday night, a man threatened to kill the clerk, according to Spokane Police. Several witnesses told police the man appeared drunk. He ran when a patrol car showed up at the South Maple store.
He was caught in a nearby parking lot and hit one officer in the face, police said.
Michael Franz, 29, was booked into jail on attempted second-degree robbery.
