Fire Destroys House

A home in West Central Spokane was destroyed by fire late Thursday.

Firefighters were called to the residence at 1520 W. Cleveland about 11 p.m., officials said.

When they arrived, the home was engulfed in flames, officials said.

Seven fire crews on the scene battled the blaze inside the home and worked to protect residences on either side from catching fire. Firefighters searched the home and found no one, officials said.

The home was a total loss. The fire, which started in the living room, is under investigation.
