Walter and Irene Garlich observed their 60th wedding anniversary Dec. 10 and will celebrate later with a family dinner.

Hosts for the event will be their children and spouses: Carla and Jim Martin, Arlen Garlich, and Lois and Larry Collins, all of Spokane, and Rebecca and John McCann, Hesperia, Calif.

The couple were married Dec. 10, 1939 in Pipestone, Minn. They have 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
