Police Raid Alleged Meth Lab
Spokane police busted an alleged methamphetamine lab Tuesday afternoon at a house on Spokane’s North Side, arresting four people.
Undercover police detectives, with the assistance of Washington State Patrol Crime Lab officers, entered the house at 218 W. Shannon at around 2:30 p.m. The suspects did not resist arrest.
There were eight people in the house at the time, including a 2-year-old child and a pregnant 15-year-old girl. The child was turned over to Child Protective Services and the girl, complaining of stomach pains, was taken to an area hospital.
David Skjothaug, 37, was arrested on a charge of manufacturing a controlled substance. Cathy Cawyer, 42, and Chad Mashtare, 24, were arrested on a charge of allowing a building to be used to manufacture a controlled substance. Jennifer Holt, 20, was arrested on an unrelated outstanding warrant.
The four were booked into the Spokane County Jail. Detectives said another arrest is expected and the investigation is continuing.
