Fund Set Up To Help Fire Victims
Friends of Skip and Barb Bonuccelli, who lost their home to fire this week, can help them with donations to an account at Spokane Teachers Credit Union.
The Bonuccellis’ home in Painted Hills burned Wednesday. Preliminary reports are that the fire was electrical.
“We have just been inundated with people calling, wanting to know how they can help,” said Billie Gehres, personnel director for the Central Valley School District.
Skip Bonuccelli, public information director for Central Valley schools, has worked in Valley schools for 26 years. His wife, Barb, teaches at Central Valley High School and has worked in the district for 17 years.
The credit union account is set up in the Bonuccellis’ name.
Few family possessions survived the fire, Skip Bonuccelli said.
“A little bit of jewelry of my mom’s,” and the children’s baby books survived, as well as some tools in the garage.
“The outpouring of kindness from people is just overwhelming,” Bonuccelli said, his voice breaking with emotion. “I want to say thanks to everybody. That’s a big deal to me, to say thank you, from all of us.”
