Lance Pecht scored 26 points, including four 3-pointers, and visiting West Valley defeated Lewiston 49-45 Friday night despite falling behind 8-0 in the Border League game.

WV switched to a zone defense after the Bengals’ quick start.

Tony Kopp’s free throw with 15 seconds left gave WV its four-point bulge.
