Coeur To Develop Furioso Gold Site

Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. will spend $2.7 million to develop its Furioso property in Chile for mining, officials announced this week.

The Furioso is a small site with a high-grade gold deposit. It is located 50 miles southwest of the company’s Fachinal mine in southern Chile.

Production is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2000. It will reduce cash costs at the Fachinal, company officials said.
