Clamming: Winter Seasons

Three ocean beaches in Washington are scheduled to open for recreational razor clam digging in January, and additional openings are planned at two of those beaches in February.

Barring any change in test results for marine toxins, digging will be allowed on the following dates and beaches:

Long Beach, Jan. 20-22 and Feb. 19-20.

Twin Harbors Beach, including North Cove, Grayland and Westport areas, Jan. 20-22 and Feb. 19-20.

Copalis Beach, including Ocean Shores an Ocean City, Jan. 22.

Digging will be confined to the hours between noon and midnight.
