Darby Rye Schmidt exchanged wedding vows with Christopher Francis Thompson in a July 24 ceremony at Covenant United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Errol and Robin Schmidt, Colbert. The groom is the son of Carol Ann Thompson, Milford, Mass., and the late Arthur Thompson.

A reception at St. George’s School followed the ceremony. The couple are living in Cambridge after a honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii.

The bride is in graduate school at Harvard. The groom has a post-doctoral position at Harvard.
