Hazel Lehn Spokane
Hazel M. (Monaghan) Lehn, celebrates her 100th birthday today She was born Jan. 27, 1900, in Gooding, Idaho, and has been a Spokane resident most of her life.
In 1923, Hazel Monaghan and Edwin W. Lehn were married. He died in 1982.
For many years, the Lehns owned and operated the Auto Equipment Co. on First Avenue.
After selling the business, Mrs. Lehn traveled a while before returning to live in Spokane. She moved into Alderwood Manor four months ago.
Mrs. Lehn has four nieces, Alvida Merriman, Doris Weeks, Lois Hunter and Mieke Lehn; and three nephews, Howard, Dick and Bob Lehn.
She attributes her long life to “walking plenty, eating potatoes almost every day and having caring people around me.”
