Development Council To Offer Annual Report
The Spokane Area Economic Development Council will highlight recent recruitment successes and present plans, goals and strategies for the next year during its annual meeting Wednesday.
The 26th annual event begins at 4 p.m. at the AMC theaters in River Park Square, 808 W. Main. A reception follows the business session.
“The organization is on track with the ambitious recruiting goals it has set for itself,” EDC President Mark Turner said in a statement. “We look forward to sharing our progress with the community at our annual meeting.”
Tickets for the meeting are $30 each or $280 for a group of 10. A coupon is available to those attending the meeting for discounted parking at the River Park Square garage.

The Spokane Transit Authority holds a public meeting from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Champions Room at the Spokane Arena, 720 W. Mallon, to discuss proposed service cutbacks caused by the passage of Initiative 695. A second meeting is scheduled from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the same location.
