Strewn throughout the nearly 200 entries in the Our Generation Get Creative writing contest were poems and short stories reflecting the realities of being a teenager today. Among entries pondering eating disorders, drunk driving, life on the streets and dysfunctional families, there were several entries reflecting on the Columbine tragedy and other school shootings.

Featured today is the second half of the 12 poems and short stories selected as this year’s winners. Previous winners were published last Monday and can be found online at http://ourgen.spokane.net
