Laura Kristine Smith exchanged wedding vows with Jason Dominic Lau in a July 10 ceremony at Mukogawa Fort Wright Chapel.

The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Cathy Smith, Spokane. Gilbert and Joan Lau, Valley Center, Calif., are the parents of the groom.

A reception at The Reid House in Spokane, followed the ceremony. The couple are living in Escondido after a honeymoon in the Fiji Islands.

A graduate of Western Washington University, the bride is a bilingual teacher in San Diego. The groom is a graduate of the University of San Diego and is a management information services director.
