Victor Abrams Wallace

Service and burial for Victor H. Abrams, 74, will be today at Hillside Memorial Chapel in Los Angeles. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Abrams, who was born in Los Angeles, died Thursday.

In 1949 he married Mickie Kauffman. He lived in Northern California and owned various businesses before settling in the Silver Valley 18 months ago.

His wife died in 1992.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Carlson and Lynda Johnston, both of California, and Susan Clement of Wallace; a son, Ric Abrams of California; a sister, June Finkle of California; and 11 grandchildren.

Charlotte Jones Spokane

Service for Charlotte Schweyen Jones, 65, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Jones, who was born in Northgate, N.D., died last week.

She attended Lewis and Clark High School and was an assembler for a micro processing company.

Mrs. Jones moved to Phoenix several years ago and returned to Spokane five years ago.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph Jones of Spokane and Mark Jones of Deer Park; a daughter, Elizabeth Johnson of Virginia; two sisters, Geraldine Schweyen and Mary Lou King, both of Spokane; and two grandchildren.

Alma Dec Priest River, Idaho

Memorial service for Alma Constance Dec, 46, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. A reception will follow at Yates Hayden Chapel Gathering Center.

Mrs. Dec, who was born in Memphis, Tenn., died Thursday.

She grew up in Cookeville, Tenn., and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a master’s degree in special education.

She married Peter Dec in 1978 and they moved to Priest River eight years ago. She was a teacher in the Lakeland School District.

She was a member of Priest River Baptist Church and was active in gardening, camping and cross-stitching.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Leilani Schabell of Sandpoint and Tiffany Dec of Priest River; a son, Elijah Dec of Priest River; two brothers, Tony Myers and Rony Myers, both of Cookeville; and one grandchild, Taylor.

Frank Haylette Spokane

Private inurnment for Frank K. Haylette, 100, was held June 28 at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Haylette, who was born in Genesee, Idaho, died June 22. He was a 94-year Spokane resident.

He owned and operated a dry cleaning business for 18 years and later worked in the real estate rental business.

Mr. Haylette was a member of the Tyrian Lodge No. 96, Masonic Lodge, and was a 75-year member of the Spokane Consistory of Scottish Rite Bodies and a lifetime member of the El Katif Shrine.

His wife of 70 years, Violette, died in 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, June Mudge of Spokane and Kaye Lake of Port Townsend, Wash.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
