Donald Eugene and Donna Gene Pope will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. with a gathering at 12015 E. Sixth.

Hosts for the event will be their children: Thomas Pope, Michael Pope, and Sharon Vasconcelos, all of Spokane; Jane Maines, Depoe Bay, Ore.; and Sue Morris, Salinas, Calif.

The Popes were married July 22, 1950, in Nehawka, Neb. They have 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
